CARRYING OUT WORK IN YOUR FLAT

Work By Outside Contractors

1. Weekdays: Work should not start before 8am and should finish by 6pm.

2. Saturday Working: Avoid if at all possible and finish by 1pm.

3. Sundays and Bank Holidays: Contractor-free.

4. It is reasonable for your work to be carried out at other times if:
• You have negotiated with all your neighbours in your block and adjacent ones and they have given their permission.
• You need to carry out emergency repairs.

Important: The above times have been agreed by all London Local Authorities.

5. The contractors must be careful about Health and Safety and should not obstruct the hallways or outside areas including paths and the back gardens, with tools, building materials, etc.

6. All rubble etc must be cleared away at the end of every day and hallways cleaned.

DIY

7. If you have to carry out minor DIY in your flat, please keep the noise to a minimum and notify neighbours if you think they may be affected.

10. The above notes do not replace any conditions in the Leaseholder's lease.

8. Inform the caretaker who the contractors are and when they will be working.

9. If a problem arises to do with your works and flat that needs the caretaker’s help outside normal hours, any overtime fees may be charged directly to you.
